Myths and Legends

Standard

Wee todays prompt was Myths and Legends, which automatically made me think of all the Maori myths and legends we learnt at school when I was little. Possibly one of the greatest/weirdest myths has to be  the one about Hine-nui-te-po and Maui. He believed if he crawled in her hoohaa and out her mouth he would be immortal because it reversed the process of life…but unfortunately for Maui the teeth in her hoohaa chomped Maui up and he died…yup. I chose to draw Hine-nui-te-po, the goddess of night and death 🙂 I really hope you like it 🙂
